Theme: THE MEDIA - WON’T GIVE UP

WON’T GIVE UP

SNAP! SNAP! SNAP! A camera flashing.
“RUN! RUN! RUN!”  The paparazzi dashing.
WHERE? WHERE? WHERE?”  There’s nowhere we can hide
from the media,
they’re out to destroy our pride.

“PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!”  Begging for the latest news.
ACTION! ACTION! ACTION!”  Scream the camera crews.
“BUY!BUY!BUY!”  Here it is the latest issue
for the masses,
Out to subvert your view.

THIN! THIN! THIN!”  Supermodels on the cover.
WRITE! WRITE! WRITE!”  Forget the facts, they just don’t matter.
“LOOK! LOOK! LOOK!”  Yes, the media’s always there
to record it,
how much more can you bear?

Everywhere I look, it is more of just the same
They all try to be unique, but they just have different names,
It really makes me think who the media even is,
A politician’s tool or a place for crossword quiz?

SCREAM! SCREAM! SCREAM!”  Sensationalism is what sells.
LATEST! LATEST! LATEST!”  Today’s deaths, births, wedding bells.

Well, “WHO? ARE? YOU?”  To spy on our lives.
And, “WHO? ARE? YOU?”  To scratch dreams into our eyes.
So, “WHO? ARE? YOU?”   To think what’s on paper’s always right
because the MEDIA MEDIA MEDIA
won’t give up without a fight.
